In brief: Mercury treatment

Treatment of mercury toxicity consists of removal of the patient from the source of exposure, supportive care, and chelation therapy.
Patients with cognitive and emotional sequelae may require psychotropic medications.

In brief: Depends on....

First: notifiy appropriate authority to clarify the mechanism of exposure and prevent further accumulation.
If you are diagnosed with high level, treatment is typically with IV or oral dimercaprol or 2, 3-dimercaptosuccinic acid (dmsa). Polythiol is an oral agent for cases of accidental swallowing etc.. Exchange transfusion for severe cases. Best is treatment prevention. Good luck.
