Dry air symptoms
Dry air, i.e. Air with low humidity, causes excessive drying of the mucous membranes of the nose and respiratory passages during normal breathing.
This drying leads to itching, and then when you start scratching
or picking at it, it may bleed; it also builds up excessive mucous which gets stuck as it is dryed out. The treatment is humidification and vaseline to protect the nasal membrane.
