First, there is the cause of the epilepsy, which itself can have effects on brain function.
Then there is the issue of the frequency and severity and form of the seizures. Usually medication(s) can effectively reduce the frequency and/or severity of the seizures. Driving is also an issue, as are social issues and academic issues, depending on her age. Most all of these issues can be dealt with.
