What does a technician look at during a pelvic ultrasound? Do they look at bladder and kidneys?

No. The routine female pelvic ultrasound includes evaluationof the uerus , ovaries and area between the ovaries and uterus. The bladder is present on the examination but is frequently not fully evaluated. In some practices a limited view of the kidneys is obtained but this is certainly ot the standard nor is it routine.
Uterus, ovaries and. The surrounding tissues are the focus. Incomplete imaging of the bladder usually also happens. Kidneys and bladder are imaged with a retroperitoneal ultrasound, along with the aorta.
