In brief: Yes

Depending on extent and type of lymphoma there is very effective treatment with chemotherapy and possibly radiation. Lymphoma is generally considered one of the more cureable malignancies.

Radiation Oncology

In brief: It's very treatable

In young children, the commonest type of lymphoma is hodgkins lymphoma.
It repsonds very well to chemotherapy and radiation and the chance of cure is over 80-90% depending on the stage of disease. Yes it is a malignant condition but with the lastest treatment, the outlook is usually very good.
