I wear prescription glasses, would reading using an e-reader have an effect on my eyes?

In brief: Not really

While reading with an e-reader, or any prolonged close work can be fatiguing for the eyes, it is not, generally speaking, harmful.
You should consult your eye doctor to make sure your glasses prescription is up to date, however.
