What is the best way to treat a cold?

Dr. Francine Yep
Family Medicine
In brief: TLC
Lots of tender loving care: rest, fluids, chicken soup, Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for fever or aches (no Aspirin for kids).
Taking zinc lozenges or vitamin c may shorten your cold (some disagree). Antibiotics don't help because viruses are too smart for us. Hope you feel better soon!
