I feel different levels of anxiety before talking to girls or people I don't know. Is it an evolutionary adaptive process or some psych problem? M, 26

It's natural. It's natural to be nervous and anxious about certain social situations, like talking to girls. This is in fact, quite common. One must face one's fears head on. You might ask yourself: "what do I have to lose?" and just try striking a conversation. Believe it or not, the females may be anxious as well. Then, the more you do it, the more comfortable you will become as you 'desensitize'.
