My son inlaw just had a stroke this sat, do you think it came from all the beer and salt he use, he is only 49 years old?

Beer didn't help. When you get too hot, the first thing that happens is heat exhaustion. Very sweaty, pale face, etc with a normal body temp. If not taken care of, especially if you get dehydrated, this can progress to heat stroke. Beverages like beer can cause dehydration. Dry (as in no sweat), red face, and an elevated body temperature. Emergency! must cool off and rehydrate immediately! wear protective clothing.
Yes it contributes.. If you are referring to stroke in the usual sense (brain stroke), the beer and salt in excess causes high blood pressure which certainly contributes among other things.
