In brief: Tendinitis?

Because you have wrist tenderness does not mean that you have a neurological problem specially if cts have been rule out.
They are many other conditions that can give you wrist pain specially tendinitis or synovitis.

In brief: There are a number.

If it only hurts or bothers you when you rub it and not when using the hand i would start with wartenburg's.
That's an irritation of the sensory branch of the radial nerve which supplies the back and thumb side of the hand. Although numbness is usually the complaint. Do you have these symptoms all the time? Are the symptoms more burning or numbness? Are there any skin lesions associated?
