Could you tell me what are good coping skills for bipolar disorder?

In brief: I like your question

I often tried to help my bipolar type patients try to find ways to cope.
We'd attempt to get a good sense of their usual pattern or rhythm and predict the weeks that were likely to be up or down and plan optional activities with that in mind. Also, if not smoothed out by medication, i urged them to remember that downs would be temporary - to wait it out. No permanent solution to temporary problems.
