In brief: BPH Treatment

BPH treatment includes medical therapy with alpha-blockers, 5-alpha reductase inhibitors and combination medical therapy.
It also includes surgical and minimally invasive options. Vaporization techniques are the latest fda approved methods of BPH surgery in widespread use. This can be achieved with either laser or electrosurgical devices.

In brief: Drugs,surgery

Usually for BPH treatment options are medicines and surgery.
Treatment is not needed unless you have symptoms like weak urinary stream, hesitancy and dribbling. There are two types of drugs, one relaxes the sphincter around the bladder neck which work immeditely and there are others which shrink the size of prostate which take few weeks to months to kick in. Surgery is needed if they dont work.
