I'm 54 & take a multivitamin, should I also take more iron to prevent hair loss? I know it will thin with age but i'd really like to keep it a while.

Depends. Taking iron is generally advisable for women who are menstruating. If one is not having periods and didn't become iron deficient in the perimenopausal period , taking iron will not be useful. Healthy hair can be promoted by eating healthy foods, taking essential fatty acids, getting a good night sleep, and handling stress well.
