What's effective for helping to prevent cervicitis?

Condoms. Cervicitis is most commonly caused by gonorrhea or chlamydia; both are sexually transmitted infections. Only condoms of abstinence will reduce your risk of contracting one of these infections.
Condoms. Many causes of cervicitis are sexually transmitted and condoms are quite effective at prevention. Other causes, such as a yeast infection after taking antibiotics, or a yeast infection for no obvious reason are not preventable, but very treatable. Atrophic vaginitis occurs commonly after menopause and is amenable to estrogen therapy.
