In brief: Osteoporosis

If your disease is well controlled then the only thing to worry about is low bone mass.
Careful followup of your bone health is important. If your disease is poorly controlled then the list of things to worry about is too long to include here. Close follow up with a eating disorder specialist is critical for you in either case.

In brief: Can be deadly

This is a deep seated, psychological problem involving alterations in body image and profound sexual dysfunction.
It involves personal starvation, sexual delay, and causes alterations in most bodily functions including atrophy of bones and muscles. Treatment involves psychotherapy and medical support. The whole family gets involved and commonly treatment fails with death resultant.

Do not lose hope! Remission of symptoms and a normal, happy life is possible with the support of your loved ones and up-to-date providers. If you have anorexia nervosa, you must have good, informed medical care, at a minimum. There are several centers across the country, depending on your age.
