Hysterectomy 25yrs ago dr asked me if he left room in vagina for intercourse does this mean cervix was also removed with the uterus?

Not sure... Not sure from that description. See a gynecologist or general practitioner. From an internal exam, they should be able to find out if the cervix remains or not.
Yes will be removed. In total hysterectomy cervix will be removed , prevents future ca of cervix & in partial hysterectomy will not be removed which is not usually done , of course you will have enough room as vagina is an elastic organ , which will not an issue , sorry why doctor asked you is unclear , don't worry, ( or some times some non surgical doctors are not familiar with technical aspect of surgery ) be happy.
