My eyes have been bloodshot for the last couple weeks. This week I've started to get crusty discharge. They don't hurt or itch. Do I need to see a dr?

Allergic? One possible source of this description is allergies. The eyes are irritated, red and can have a discharge, especially upon waking in the mornings. It is never a bad idea to have a doctor confirm this, however, as other problems could also cause redness, including some autoimmune disorders or viral and bacterial infections.

Blepharitis therapy. Blepharitis is a very treatable problem. Initial treatment includes artificial tears, a bland antibiotic ointment at night, and ocusoft plus lid scrubs twice daily immediately after warm compresses. If symptoms persist, additional therapies may be needed and you should see your eye doctor.
