In brief: Safe Sex
Bv (or bacterial vaginosis) is a disease that is caused by bacteria.
Many doctors believe that it can be spread by sexual contact. Treating your partner if you are in a monogamous relationship, or using barrier safe sex practices if you are not in a monogamous relationship. Talk to the provider that helps you with you women's health care.

In brief: BV
Bacterial vaginosis BV - is usually due to a change in the vaginal flora allowing bacteria to over grow.
It could be due to over zealous doucheing or self medication with yeast medications or underwear that "doesn't breathe" . A recommendation would be to use a plain vinegar and water douche perhaps once a week at the most. The vagina is normally on the acid side. That should help -.
