In brief: Only very small ones

It is not unusual for patients to see very small dime size clots from time to time.
If that happens regularly or the clots are larger this is not normal and should be investigated. There are so many options to help patients have lighter periods nowadays. There is no reason to suffer.

In brief: Depends

Passing clots means that you're bleeding a lot.
For some ladies this might be normal. If you are bleeding a lot more than normal (i.e. Aren't used to passing clots) then you should see your doc to be evaluated.
