In brief: Not exactly

Symptoms may overlap but they are different.
Tendinitis is inflammation of a tendon, most commonly in shoulders, heels, elbows, and wrists. Symptoms include pain with movement, swelling, and tenderness. Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when a nerve in the wrist is compressed, and can cause pain radiating to the hand or shoulder, tingling, numbness, and weakness of the hand.

In brief: It may seem

Similar at times, due to wrist pain, it may be a cooncurrent problem in the right anatominc region, ie there are 9 tendons and only one nerve in the carp[al tunnel.
If there were tendonitis near the nerve in the carpal tunnel it could be hard to differentite that form carpal tunnle suptoms.
