Slight pain in left knee, intermittent, don't even feel it most of the time, but little uncomfortable sometimes. Should I get xray?

As long as you have occasional pain relieved with ice or over the counter pain medications, i think you can watch it for now.
If the pain worsens or the knee becomes red or swollen, then you will need to see your doctor.
