Can 11 year old take one excedrine, half the adult dose, for headache. It has 65 mg of caffeine?

Excedrin in child . Some formulations of excedrin are approved for use in children 12 years and older. In my opinion a child should not be given this dose of caffeine unless extenuating circumstances exist which have been addressed by the pediatrician, family doctor or neurologist. Otc children's Ibuprofen and tylenol (acetaminophen) are safer alternatives.
