In brief: Patient stabilizing
Smoke inhalation due to fire can cause three types of injuries including thermal injury to the airways, chemical injury and poisoning due to carbon monoxide or cyanide.
The first thing to do is immediate assessment of the patient's airway, breathing, and circulation. After stabilizing the patient then he needs to be treated for each specific type of injury.

In brief: Respiratory care
If significant smoke inhalation there is always the risk of pneumonia or pneumonitis so you should see your doctor relatively soon likely same day.
Just depends on severity what the treatment will be could just be inhaler treatment or if severe may need to be in hospital for awhile with oxygen and nebulizer treatment and antibiotics.
