Goes away by itself. Usually at age 10-14 years. Always visit doctor or ortho if pain is not improving, severe, unable to stand/walk, or affecting basic activities of daily living. A repeat examination or getting x-rays is always a good idea.

i would avoid NSAIDS due to their effect on bone healing, tylenol, ice, and avtivity modification.
