Can major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder be cured?

All at once or. All at once, or one at a time? Those are 3 major disorders and there are many types of each of them. So the answer is yes, and no. It depends on which disorder and how much of a physiological component there is in each illness. You can not cure diabetes, but you can learn to control it. That is true of many psychological disorders as well.

Maybe. In Psychiatry there is a riff in between the "lumpers" and the "splitters". As the names imply some will lump together symptoms ( like obsessive compulsive been an anxiety disorder and or anxiety been part of Major Depression) vs. others who would separate if Sx,s are so strong or if they appear at different times. Discuss it w your Doctor. Anyway those 3 disorders could respond to Prozac (fluoxetine). Read more...
Yes. All may be coming from the same root cause. Addressing this in therapy, learning where the feelings come from, can be a vital step along the way to learning how to put them into perspective, and in so doing possibly to gain some control over them over time. Meds help, but therapy possibly better in the long-term. Combination of the two is preferable. Read more...

I was diagnosed with mad (major anxiety disorder) and mdd (major depression disorder) in the year of 2008. Is it possible to still have them?

Yes it is possible. Have your symptoms changed? Have you been working in therapy to reduce anxiety or cope with depression better? If not, the diagnosis may be the same. How are you feeling? Yes, it is possible, but really, you would be the best one to answer the question. If you don't feel as bad in either way - the diagnoses would be different. If they were accurate to begin with, you'll perhaps always have tendencies for relapse, but may never again suffer as badly - especially with good psychotherapy to monitor your status and guide you through difficult times. Take care. Read more...
