In brief: Renal AVM

Renal arteriovenous malformations (avms) and fistulas include various abnormal connections between the intrarenal arterial and venous systems.
They cause hematuria (blood in the urine, which may not be visible to the naked eye) and are associated with hypertension. Gross (visible) hematuria is the initial symptom in about 75% of patients. Also can get kidney pain due to blood clots.

In brief: Location

Just like in real estate, it depends on location of the lesion.
Also the volume of blood shunting through it.
