In brief: Many causes

Tjere can be many factors.
It would be best to see a physician to determine why you have infections.

In brief: Underlying problem?

In males utis exist only secondary to something else like obstruction to the urinary tract by enlarged prostate, kidney stones, urinary reflux, prostatitis, low immune system & others.
In females is frequent to have one to three utis a year because the urethra is smaller allowing bacteria to get inside easily. To hold the desire to urinate for long periods promotes utis.
