Do doctors see a lot of patients with sepsis?

Absolutely. "sepsis" is the body's reaction to a known or suspected infection. This reaction can include fever (or low body temp), fast heart rate, fast breathing rate, and low blood pressure. Many doctors, in many specialties, see sepsis every day. Indeed, docs like me (pulmonary and critical care) see them more often, but it is a very common diagnosis.
Sepsis. That is how intensivists and pulmonologists pay their bills. Expert advice is very useful.
