In brief: Not likely
Rhinits is inflammation of the nose.
We all get rhinits any time we get a cold and hardly any one dies from it.

In brief: No
Rhinitis means nasal inflammation which can come from allergies, infections or irritants primarily.
The one diagnosis that is rare but shouldn't be overlooked is CSF rhinorrhea. This is leakage of spinal fluid from the nose from trauma, tumor, post-operative or other causes the clear one-sided discharge worsens when a person bends over. Can be deadly if infection travels into brain.
