In brief: Yes
Ethylene glycol can be potentially lethal.
It has also been known to cause blindness. It is probably best described as a poisoning than an overdose because it is not meant to be consumed in any quantities at all.

In brief: Poisoning
Antifreeze contains a chemical that is highly poisonous when ingested and causes kidney failure and severe abnormalities of the blood.
It can absolutely be fatal. In fact, ingesting antifreeze (because it has a sweet taste) is a leading cause of dog and cat deaths. Significant ingestions almost always end up with the patient requiring permanent dialysis.
