Flushed face that came on suddenly, body aches, sore throat and headache. What would cause these symptoms?

Sounds like Viral in. Upper respiratory tract infections caused by viruses are common and affect each one of us off and on. They are self limiting. All you need to do is rest for a couple of days, use tylenol (acetaminophen) for aches and for sore throat and some decongestants(over the counter stuff) and it will settle down.

Warm fluids soothe the throat. Extra Vit C (1000 mg twice a day) will also decrease the length of time you'll have symptoms. Rest and sleep extra to give your body a chance to fight off the virus.
