In brief: Asthenophobia

Asthenophobia or fear of fainting is very common.
It is very common among people who has never fainted and most likely never will. The best reassurance can come for your physician if he is aware of your good medical health status and physical examination.

In brief: I'll try...

This is interesting since you've never fainted.
Fainting can be scary but is seldom serious unless you hurt yourself falling.People don't faint for no reason-it's caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure caused by low blood sugar or heart arrhythmias, but may be caused by fear (for example some faint when getting blood draws). If you feel like you might faint lying down can prevent it.See comment:.

I am happy to see you are getting behavioral therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can be very helpful for fears and anxiety. Another techniques that might help is Emotional Freedom Technique- see http://www.eftuniverse.com/ and http://www.emofree.com/ Also consider consulting with a homeopath as homeopathy might be very helpful for this fear, as there are homeopathic remedies specifically known to address this fear- see http://nationalcenterforhomeopathy.org/resources/practitioners For more information on fainting see http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003092.htm
