2 doctors agree

In brief: Involuntary commit

All states have provisions for involuntary commitments of patients who are a danger to themselves, eg suicide, or to others.
If this is the case call 911.

In the state of Massachusetts, "section 35" can be brought up by family members in front of the judge . it is geared towards helping people with severe addiction with limited insight and motivation... probably there is something similar in other states. good luck
