Sometimes after i eat sugary foods my throat/esophagus feels really sore and sensitive. Is this acid reflux i'm experiencing?

In brief: Most likely...

Do the 'sugary foods' you're eating have anything else in common? High fat? Citrus? Tomatoes? Caffeine? All of these food elements can allow stomach acid to back up into the esophagus much more easily.
Talk with your doctor; they may suggest trying an over the counter proton pump inhibitor -- a powerful acid blocker like Prevacid (lansoprazole) or prilosec. Good luck!
