In brief: Two main types
There are two main types of surgery for zenker's diverticulum. 1.
Is transoral endoscopic stapling. This is often first line therapy, and is especially usefull in small diverticulum. 2. For large diverticulum or failed endoscopic stapling, then a myotomy and diverticulectomy performed through the left neck is effective and well tolerated.

Unless you know some one who subscribes to the Chest Surgical Clincs of North America, you would have to go to a medical library such as at a Medical School or University to read or copy the article. If you don't have access to one, you could call the Thoracic Surgery Dept at the Mayo Clinic and request a reprint. You can go to Medline and read the abstract and they may link you to a site where
