It should not be used during pregnany. It could harm the unborn baby & lead to addiction or withdrawal symptoms in a newborn if the mother takes the medication during pregnancy.

Use the lowest possible dose but if it's a key part of a regimen than the risks are not huge. The best source of info is mass. General women's psychiatry. Look up the data there and decide with your doctor.
