What type of exercise is best depends on your health & medical conditions.
If healthy, combo exercises with cardiovascular activity & weight training (can also be yoga) are great. If you have joint problems-swimming & yoga are better. Neuromuscular probems, dizziness/balance problems (parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, back problems) tai chi has been found to be helpful. Ask your doc for advice.
