In brief: Time to go to ER

Ive seen back spasms buckle legs but best to have doc make sure nerves to legs are intact rule out severe nerve pressure from large disc herniation.

If you are not having changes in your bowel or bladder function, or loss of sensation in the groin area, you may not have a true emergency requiring surgery. It is important for a timely ER evaluation if you are losing motor function in your legs. If the bowel/bladder/motor issues are occuring, you may be developing cauda equina syndrome, which is a true emergency situation.

In brief: Check your back

This is likely to be a dysfunction of the lower back from disc protrusion or leak.
But it may also be due to pathology of the spinal column such as vascular or tumor invasion. You should fairly soon check with your family doctor or an orthopod to sort this out.
