Should we eat until we are full or eat until we reach our recommended calorie intake?

In brief: Not until full

Unless you are trying to gain weight, dont eat until you are full.
The signal that says 'full' takes about 15 min to get from stomach to brain, so often we overeat if we are hungry and not paying attention.

Eat slowly, take breaks. As Dr Valdez says, give your brain a chance to say when your full.

In brief: Don't stuff yourself

Our brain (specifically the hypothalamus) is very primitive when it comes to hunger and thirst.
Many of us eat when actually all we need is something to drink....Which most often should be water. One, your total daily calorie intake should not occur at 1 meal. Two, eat each meal slowly which allows for your brain to better tell you when you are actually full. Three, make healthy choices!
