In brief: Lice

With head lice, you may have intense itching of the scalp.
Small, red bumps on the scalp, neck, and shoulders may become crusty and ooze. You may have white specks (eggs, or nits) on the bottom of each hair that are hard to get off. The best thing to do is for you to see a doctor evaluation and treatment.

A nurse in a drop in clinic could easily take care of this. Depending on where you live, a pharmacist could also recommend a special comb and some shampoo for your whole body. You also have to wash all your clothes and sheets in very hot water to make sure they don't get back on you after you have gotten them off.

may be found on any part of the body other than head or genitals. When body lice have been present for a long time – surrounding skin may be purple or blue.
