In brief: Dry eyes

"dry eyes occur when your tears aren't able to provide adequate moisture for your eyes.
Tears can be inadequate for many reasons. For example, dry eyes may occur if you don't produce enough tears or if you produce poor-quality tears." for more see: http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/dry-eyes/ds00463.

In brief: Morning dry eyes

The main causes of dry eyes in the mornings is related to blepharitis or lagophthalmos (eyelid not completely cloak getting sleep).
Try starting artificial tears during the day, ointment at night, and warm compresses 1-2 times a day. If no improvement, see your eye doctor.

In brief: Dry eyes

Try refresh tears, 1 drop on affected eye as frequent as you want.
You wont overdose on this. Causes: dry cool air , not blinking frequently (computers, reading a book), your eyelids staying open while you sleep, or medical conditions that your doctor (pcp and or ophthalmologist may help diagnosed). If you have redness, irritation, pain, discharge, wear contact lenses, or eye surgeries- see optho.
