In brief: Yes
Pregnancy tests work by detecting a hormone that is only produced when you are pregnant.
Having an iud should not effect the results of the test.

You must be concerned with a tubal or abnormal pregnancy.

In brief: Yes...
The iud does not change the ability of the test to detect the pregnancy.
..The test detects a hormone your body makes during pregnancy--hcg--(human chorionic gonadotropin), the hormone of pregnancy. So, if you become pregnant, you make this hormone and the test detects it and shows you (+) on it...
