In brief: COUGH can LAST
Most bronchitis is viral and antibiotics will not cure a viral infection.
A chronic cough may occur after bronchitis and is called: 'post viral syndrome'. A course of steroids may help resolve the cough more quickly and may help any wheezing if you have an asthma tendency. Another cause of cough may be post nasal drip and can be helped by antihistamines/decongestants. Hope you are better soon!

In brief: Possibly...
Sometimes a cough from bronchitis can actually engender bronchospasm so the cough will continue even when the bronchitis is resolved.
This bronchospastic cough can then last for many weeks. It can be treated with a bronchodilator inhaler and a steroid inhaler until the cough completely resolves and then these inhalers can be stopped. See your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
