I have recently tried to wear prescription multi-focal contact lenses. How long does it usually take for ones eyes to adjust.

In brief: 1-2 weeks

I give most who try this about 1-2 weeks for trial .
If they cannot adjust, i see them again for a recheck to make sure the power and fit are ok. About 50% of folks who try this, cannot adjust to it. They find the type of images produced by these lenses to be disturbing and not comfortable. Motivation is important also and previous contact lens wearers generally do better.
