Is it ok if my baby is only nursing on one side?

In brief: Yes

As long as a baby gets enough milk, whether from one breast or both breasts, the baby will be happy.
However, if a mom only feeds from one side, the unused side may lose its milk-making ability and dry up; or it may back up with milk, get swollen and perhaps develop mastitis.

In brief: Yes

It is very normal to nurse only one side at a time.
When your milk supply is fully in it is typical for a baby not to need to nurse both sides to have an adequate feeding. It is more important for the baby to empty the breast than to nurse on both sides during a feeding. Just remember to alternate sides each feeding. Wear a rubberband around your wrist to remember which side to feed next!

In brief: Yes

In many countries it's considered normal to nurse from only 1 side, then nurse from the other side the next time around.
Babies can get plenty of milk that way. As long as your baby is growing fine, it's ok to nurse from only 1 side at a time.
