What can you tell me about stigmatism?

Astigmatism. Astigmatism is an eyeglass term for an eye with an oval curvature instead of being perfectly round. It is very common, and easily corrected with a reverse oval either in eyeglasses or contact lenses. It commonly changes very gradually over many years and rarely is severe enough to lower the vision. Your ophthalmologist can measure it and determine the proper correction.
