In brief: No

Cavities are created from a mix of sugar, bacteria and the acid that results.
I guess the number of cavities is limited the number of teeth you have.....It is possible to have more than one cavity in a single tooth. Fluoride is a wonderful defense against cavities, as well as brushing and flossing.

In brief: 32 teeth

You are usually born with 32 permanent teeth, and there are multiple surfaces on each tooth, and fillings don't last forever and need to be replaced.
.. So it's hard to put an actual number on it.
