Which is better for anemia? Ferrous sulfate or ferrous fumarate? I have low iron, ferrous sulfate hurts my stomach. Was wondering about fumarate.

In brief: Fumarate, gluconate

Iron tablets help in iron-deficiency anemia.
Taking the tablets with food or after eating reduce the side effects of abdominal pain. Both fumarate and gluconate are reported to have less gastric irritations. Cost is a consideration. Thank you for asking.
