pts shouldnt drive for 48 hrs after angioplasty due to possible groin problems like bleeding. many times they wont release a pt without someone to drive them.

In brief: Bring someone
You may spend the night after the procedure.
In addition, you will be given mild sedatives which may impair your ability to drive for 24 hours. Lastly, you may have some groin or wrist discomfort after the procedure (depending on the site of access) that may make driving difficult.
