In brief: Open MRI

If an open MRI is available in your town that may be an option.
Of course. Moderate sedation is as well.

In brief: Moderate Sedation

If a mild sedative does not work, and the MRI is necessary, moderate sedation can be performed at most hospitals to allow acquisition of the mri.
Moderate sedation uses medicines administered via IV to a level of deep "sleep", near the level used for surgery. It is commonly used when a colonoscopy or endoscopy is performed.
